I am a proud Milwaukee native, educated in the Milwaukee Public School system and an alumnus of Rufus King High School for the College Bound. While still in high school, I enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. During my junior year of college, my Reserve Unit was mobilized for the Gulf War, where I served for over 10 months.
After graduation, I was recruited by a paperboard packaging company, which led me to build my early career out of state.
As a Scholar, I Hold:
I was called to serve, to care for others, trained to respond with discipline, and entrusted to uphold the Constitution. That experience shaped how I lead: with duty, strategy, and a deep respect for every life and every voice. Being a veteran taught me that we don’t move forward alone, we move forward together, because we, the people, are in this together. And that’s exactly how I will lead as Chair.
For 22 years, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia — the cradle of the Civil Rights Movement. There, I was shaped by the legacy of leaders like John Lewis, Andrew Young, Maynard Jackson, and Joseph Lowery. Their courage, vision, and relentless fight for justice became part of my own DNA. That environment didn’t just teach me how to organize — it taught me how to transform communities and build movements that last.
I gained firsthand experience in navigating the intersection of politics, business, and community — and in ensuring that justice and equity were always at the center of the conversation.
Atlanta did not just train me — it tested me. It gave me the resilience to fight through setbacks, the wisdom to lead with strategy, and the vision to connect local struggles with national and global movements. Those lessons are the foundation of the leader I am today and the work I now carry forward in Milwaukee.
From working the polls to casting ballots on the national stage, I have served this party at every level — from the grassroots to the grand halls. My record is not performative; it is consistent, historic, and hands-on. I understand the machinery, the people, and the stakes.
This record is not just about titles or positions — it is about trust, commitment, and results. Time and again, I have stepped up not for recognition, but for responsibility: protecting election integrity, building relationships across communities, and ensuring that our party reflects the people it serves.
I know how to translate vision into action, and action into results. That is the kind of leadership Milwaukee County needs — steady, proven, and driven by purpose.
Since returning home, I’ve thrown myself into community work as though I never left. Milwaukee is not just where I’m from — it’s who I am. My service reflects a commitment to building equity, uplifting voices, and organizing with purpose.
